The official launch of the Kate Powers Foundation

The official launch of the Kate Powers Foundation took place in the presence of Prince Albert II

On 28th March 2023, the official launch of the Kate Powers Foundation was held at Twiga restaurant in Monaco, with more than 400 attendees. Prince Albert II, the Honorary President of the Foundation, was also present at the event. The Foundation was established in 2022 to pay tribute to Kate Powers, the former co-founder of Stars’N’Bars, who passed away a year ago, and to carry on her legacy.

Annette Anderson, partner and manager at Stars’N’Bars, commented that everyone in Monaco was touched by Kate, and people from various neighborhoods and professions came to attend the launch event.

The Foundation has initiated several projects, including the installation of drinking water fountains at different locations in the Principality to reduce plastic usage, which was one of Kate Powers’ objectives to build a sustainable community in Monaco. The launch event featured the presentation of the water fountains, and students from the International School of Monaco sold raffle tickets for a chance to win a water purification system.

The evening was filled with dinner and entertainment, and it paid tribute to the memory of Kate Powers, who believed in making a difference by doing what one loves.
